Muscle-wasting is epidemic in much of the Western world.  Too much sitting and not enough activity plus poor food choices has brought us to where we are today with a huge portion of our population overfat and even obese.

Today, however, there are new findings from the #ISS and #PNAS that will help bring real change to those affected by muscle-wasting.  Understanding more about the Myostatin gene and it’s deletion in some organisms is one real potential to this epidemic of muscle loss.  These studies are showing that we are indeed learning more.

Even better, I believe there will soon be a way found to use #CRISPR gene editing in the future to make us all more muscular – a critical part in keeping you healthy and independent as you age.  Gene editing can sound scary, but we need to keep an open mind.

The future for health is indeed bright – despite what most media tells you today!
